My apple watch does not vibrate or ring

I am super frustrated that my apple watch does not alert me anymore. This is disappointing because I rely on it for work as well. I always put my phone on silent. At work, we use an work app for texts to communicate. I am not always on our electronic medical system at all times. The watch alerts me if a co-worker has a question for me. I am a practice manager and I need this very useful feature for the apple watch. Now, I feel like my apple watch is just a regular watch. For the price I paid, I should have gotten a $750 dollar decent watch. I'm very disappointed.

I tried resetting both the watch and phone. I checked the setting on the watch and phone. It is on vibrate on ring and silent. I chose the setting to mirror the phone. I don't know what else to do.

Hi violetgoddess,

Thanks for using the  Apple Support Communities.

Please first make sure your Apple Watch OS is up to date. (Find out how? check make sure that you have the latest version of watchOS.)

Then please go check the sounds settings :

Open Settings, scroll down, tap Sounds & Haptics, then tap User uploaded file or User uploaded file. You can also tap the slider, then turn the Digital Crown.

Under Haptic Strength, tap User uploaded file to decrease haptic intensity or User uploaded file to increase it.

You should also check if your Apple Watch is on "Do not disturb" mode.

  • When your Apple Watch is locked, User uploaded file appears on the watch face. If your Apple Watch has a passcode, it locks automatically when you aren't wearing it, when it loses contact with your skin, or while it's charging.
  • When Do Not Disturb is on, User uploaded file appears on the watch face. To turn this feature on or off, swipe up on the watch face, then tap User uploaded file.

Best Regards,

Juitse

Just an update... I went to the settings of the watch. It was on silent mode. This was never a problem before. I would still get alerts even if it was on silent. Anyways, I turned off the silent mode. After that, I received alerts. Again, I put it back on silent. I still received alerts. I do not know why, but this fixed the issue I've been having for a week. I hope this helps somebody in the same situation I was.
