How to find an unsaved recording in QuickTime?

I was recording a movie in QuickTime (v10.4)

Someone removed the macbook and kept it in my bag

I opened the macbook but the movie (around 30 minutes) was nowhere - HOW can i locate this unsaved recording.

I have MacOS X Yosemite (10.10.5).

Thanks.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

To clarify what Klaus1 said, if you (or someone else) quit the QT X Player app without saving the recording, then the scratch file recoding was deleted from your drive's directory when the app was closed making it unlikely that you'll be able to retrieve the data via normal user level means. On the other hand, if the recording was stopped normally and the app was not closed, then you might try checking the "~ > users > (named user) > Library > Containers > com.apple.QuickTimePlayerX > Data > Library > Autosave Information" folder for any "Unsaved QuickTime Player Document.qtpxcomposition" package files. (Depending on specific series of circumstances, no files may exist, files may be orphaned, files may be corrupted or files may be playable.) If you find one, try using the "Show Package Contents" option to see if the recording data is playable. If so, then manually move the "MOV" file to different location (such as the desktop) for further processing before closing the QT X Player app.
