How to transfer pictures from phone to MacBook.

Hello,

I'd like to be able to occasionally upload my pictures to my MacBook (from my phone) via WiFi, and then deleting them from just my phone in an effort to save space.

Is there any way to accomplish this?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014), iOS 8.1.1

Are you sure, that will sync photos to the Mac, Larry? As far as I can tell, you can sync music and purchases to the Mac. iTunes will sync photos only from the Mac to the iPhone, but it is one-way.

To sync photos wirelessly from the iPhone to the Mac we need iCloud (My Photo Stream), or transfer them actively using Air Drop or Mail. or use iCloud Photo Library, but then it will be impossible to delete them from the iPhone.
