I've got a numbers spreadsheet with a chart that was done awhile back.
I've been trying to add more rows and another column(series).
I've researched it but cant seem to get what I need
I'm hoping that a good hearted person will offer to take a look at some screen shots and tell me what I'm doing wrong.

You can make the lines thinner here:
This will appear under the Style tab after you click on the series within the chart so that the series (not the whole chart) appears 'selected' as shown in the screenshot.
The labels on the x-axis are controlled here:
That big box with the references appears after you click in the 'Label References:' box after you've selected the Category (X) table. Select all the references in the big box, delete them, and (with the box still open) select Column A in the table. This should restore all the references that you need so you don't see 'Untitled'.

I have the dates running down the left side but on the chart, in September it starts showing 'untitled' instead of the dates.
Any advice on how to fix this without rebuilding the chart?
I'm using Sierra and Numbers 4.1.

This is a line chart.
It took awhile but I finally got two columns of data represented by the red and blue lines.
What I'd like help with is the problem with the dates at the bottom of the chart.
These screen shots shows that until the end of Oct the dates show up on the chart correctly. ie July 28 shows the same on the spreadsheet as on the chart.
Afterward it, ie November shows as 'unititled 10, 52 etc' for the date. I've searched 'untitled' but cant figure out what it means or why it's on my chart instead of the date.
A second question is how to make the connecting lines thinner. I've searched and tried but can't find how to do this.

Please confirm that you are using Numbers 4.x on a Mac running Sierra.

Hi Jeff,
Not enough information in the screen shot to hazard a guess. Could you do another with the chart selected, and the table showing the cells containing the data producing the rightmost blue lines and those producing the red lines to the right of the blue ones.
Is this a scatter chart, with straigh lines connecting data points, or a line chart, with each date as a categry?
