After Sierra update: ssh public key login and application problems
I updated Mac OS X from Lion to Sierra on a Macbook pro.
Thereafter, ssh -vv with public key to Sierra fails with this output:
debug1: Next authentication method: publickey
debug1: Offering RSA public key: /Users/alba/.ssh/id_rsa
debug2: we sent a publickey packet, wait for reply
debug1: Server accepts key: pkalg ssh-rsa blen 533
debug2: input_userauth_pk_ok: fp SHA256:E9bo7Mc/wFRq8mIAk6Vum5ancAmDsUDOfVgjJHvvaSE
Connection closed by 192.168.1.12
My key has 4096 bits.
mac-de-papa% ssh-keygen -l -f ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub
4096 SHA256:E9bo7Mc/wFRq8mIAk6Vum5ancAmDsUDOfVgjJHvvaSE alba@pc8.home (RSA)
Login to other systems works, therefore the problem is on the server side, Sierra.
Downgrading to Lion solves the ssh problem.
(This is not possible from the App store which enforces Sierra but I could do it from a clone.)
Moreover, after Sierra update, the Calendar application has dissapeared and some applications (iMovies, Pages, Numbers, Keynotes, iPhoto) that need to be updated in App store cannot be updated. Error message : "Upgrade unavailable from this Apple id" (not sic: translated from another language). Taking another id or reinstalling from recovery partition does not help.
Your hints welcome.
