Sender address ...@icloud.com rejected

Hi all. Am getting a weird and persistent error on message on trying to send an email with an attachment from my iCloud address using the OS Mail application.

The full error message reads as "The sender address ...@icloud.com was rejected by the server smtp.mail.yahoo.com" (... being my main iCloud address).

The curious thing is that while I do have a Yahoo account and access it from the app as well, I do not actually want to send from Yahoo anyway, nor has the email trail previously touched my yahoo account.

I was forced to use Yahoo because of this to get the message out, not iCloud. Any ideas what is happening?

Thanks

User uploaded fileGo to Preferences>Accounts, select your iCloud account and set 'Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) to 'iCloud (iCloud)' and check the 'Use only this server' checkbox (picture, right). (This setting applies only to this account, you could set other accounts to use the appropriate SMTP server).

Then in the New Message window set the 'From' drop-down menu at the bottom of the header to your iCloud address.
