How Do I Merge Midi Notes

Hi all,

I want to merge two or more midi notes (not regions) of the same pitch in Logic Pro X. I cannot seem to do this... Sometimes I want to do this on two or more notes that might add up to be quite long, and stretching would be a hassle. I saw someone suggested "Control" + "=" for Logic 9, however, this does not appear to work in Logic Pro X. It just creates a white flash signifying this is not a valid function. Any help would be appreciated!
