did any one had this in his MacBook ever? my daughter was using her MacBook pro (2010 model) and during which the battery exploded. I had many apple products including laptops, ipads, Iphones but never I experienced such a thing. I want to know if this is a one time thing or others experienced this before?

Yes, I've heard of a number of batteries here that have expanded/bulged to the point of cracking open the battery. I've never heard of one exploding, as in a loud band and smoke and fire. Is that what actually happened to your battery?
In any case, the chemical inside are dangerous, so after it has finished exploding/smoldering/the fire is out, enclose it in something so the chemicals cannot get out. Then bring it to a facility which disposes of lithium ion batteries. Apple might: https://support.apple.com/contact. Please, do not just throw it in the garbage.
