I have a dual USB port powered by my car that I believe I should be able to use to charge my iPhone. Can I plug the Apple Watch charger into one of those ports to charge my watch?
I ask because in another thread Jonathan (UK) is very specific about only using Apple mains plugs for this purpose.

Thank you for the reply. You use the word, 'But,' suggesting a measure of doubt or trouble. Did you simply mean to say that if I'm traveling and have already packed the 'official' charger which has a remarkably long cord, it can be plugged into a usb port plugged into the 'cigar lighter' in a car and it will charge the watch?

I have charged my Apple Watch in the car in the past, and have not experienced any issues. It charged just fine. It is just a little difficult sometimes to get it to lie still in a moving vehicle so the magnetic charger remains connected.
I just meant get a long charging cord, you should have no problems
Yes it can, But the charger with the longer cord, but watch will charge
