what are those files that start with com

What do you call files that start with com.name.name and how is this naming convention interpreted? What is the rule in creating/using this naming system?

e.q.

com.apple.finder

com.apple.finder.plist

com.apple.nsurlsessiond

com.apple.keychainaccess

com.someCompanyName.setup

com.someCompanyName.etc

They are nothing you need to name or change. Those are system files and files created by various apps. "plist" stands for "properties list". The name usually reflects the developer of the app.
