What is the exact text of the message that you are getting ? When you have a card on an account it has to be a valid card and accepted by iTunes, whatever you are downloading. If your card is no longer valid you can either replace it with a valid card, or just log into the account (not when trying to download something) and see if you can remove it : Change or remove your Apple ID payment information in the iTunes Store - Apple Support

The 'problem with the previous purchase' message means that iTunes wasn't able to collect the money for it and that you therefore owe iTunes for it - until you've paid what you owe you won't be able to download anything else, nor will you potentially get the 'none' option.

Owing iTunes : If your payment method is declined, or you have a billing issue with a previous purchase in the iTunes Store - Apple Support

I also have this problem for my account, it also says that "there was a billing problem with the previous purchase. Please update your payment method." And when I filled up my payment method the first time it will say "you're payment method was declined. Please enter another payment method." And the second time I filled up my payment method it shows nothing but the payment stuff that I have to fill out. I kept pressing done and it just repeats itself back to the payment method stuff which is super annoying now. And there isn't an option for me where I could select "none" as my payment method. Anyone could help?

When are you looking for the 'none' option ? You won't get it when trying to download something, you need to just log into the account and see if it shows : Change or remove your Apple ID payment information in the iTunes Store - Apple Support

Whether it will show will depend upon a number of things, the above link has details as to why it might not show.

(OR) if you don't owe any money to iTunes which if I'm correct is hard to accomplish since the purchase typically won't go thru if funds are insufficient? I dunno these days mine just go to my bill if I have to little of a balance. I only use prepaid card as my form of payment so if it ever gets hacked or whatever only so much damage can be done ... with a real CC # the damage could be very high. OK SO FOR MY SUGGESTION IF THE OTHER REPLIES DO NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE....

prepaid or not and especially with a prepaid card be sure you have money on the card ...as it will not allow you to add a card with a zero balance . Even if you think in the lines of it will have my paycheck in it tommorow if it doesn't have a credit line available or overdraft protection which is basically a small line of credit on a non CC account and it gets increased the longer you bank in good standing and technically u can pull that money out going below your actual balance to the limit of whatever your OD amount allowed is. It's made to pay purchases you may not be able to fully cover and not get declined and in turn the bank gets their $50 or so fee for using it . So anyways if you just have a prepaid or debit card linked to it or are trying to make sure there is some money on there if even $5 bucks then it authorizes it. If not make sure the info u use in your personal contact on phone or if it asks when U *** card by make sure it matches the same info or at least zip code u use for the card. Then after making these changes prolly is best to clear your cache and history before you attempt to re enter the card .

That's on your browser settings😎

Good luck. If this doesn't help call or email support. They will surely help you.
