Apple Watch Time Lapse

2 questions please:

1) my Time Lapse only goes for a few seconds then stops, is this normal? For example, the Paris night goes like a gif, the spotlight on the Eiffel Tower dies one rotation then stops. One forum says it shows 24 hours but mine only a few seconds. Is this it?

2) a forum says the image shows the current time of day but I am in the Southern Hemisphere, I choose Paris as my city in Time Lapse and while it is day here in Australia it shows a day image in Paris though it is actually night in Paris at the time. Is this how it's meant to be? This seems weird because I have secondary time for Paris (I do business there) and it shows opposite image of how it is there. Is this a limitation or can I customise it somehow?

Many thanks for any help!

Hi

When using the Timelapse watch face:

1. Upon waking the display, the watch face plays a short clip.

2. The time of day / night shown during that short clip is appropriate to the time where you are (as opposed to the time at the chosen location, if different).

It is not possible to customise the behaviour of the Timelapse watch face. If you would like to send feedback or suggestions to Apple, you can do so here:
