What is textedit doc, "model"?

Hello,

Had my debit info stolen, which prompted me to double down on checking my mac for bugs. I noticed a document in the window that comes up when I click on my hard drive. This document is named "model." The size says 14 bites, 4 kb on disk. When I open it, it's just a plain document that says, "MacBookPro5, 3." If I try to delete it, it requires me to type in the admin password because "Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this." This could be nothing, but around the time when my info got stolen I remember google all of sudden saving online info I would type in without me clicking for it to remember, and my trash takes 5 times as long to delete things. I used time machine to restore my harddrive, and the "model" doc went away, but after doing a bunch of virus scans with avast and bitdefender, the file is back. Does anyone know if the file "model" is anything to worry about? Thank you! My software is 10.9.5.

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2009), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Do you have any idea if a folder like that poses any kind of a threat? Like a file that needs me to type in my admin password because "finder wants to make changes"? It's strange because in the past I've noticed other random documents, like the itunes playlist file, popping up in the same location; From my desktop I double click on Hard Drive, and just system folders and the strange "model."
