Bluetooth won't connect nor recognize Sync

2016 F150. iPhone 6 with all updates. Out of the blue phone will not pair with Sync. Sync doesn't even show up on phone as a choice to connect. All I get on the phone is the spinning wheel.

I've restarted phone. Hard reset the phone. Turned truck off, restarted. Restarted phone. Hard reset phone. Still nothing.

Now this post is specific to Bluetooth but I really don't like this latest update to iOS that Apple put out.

Hello Old_Soul_Ronin,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with your iPhone 6 and Ford Sync. There are a few things to check for this issue. I will be happy to offer my assistance with this.

First, since you are using the bluetooth connection, I recommend going through the steps provided in this help article: Set up and use third-party Bluetooth accessories .

I was also able to find this link from the Ford website: Ford - Your SYNC May Need an Update .

The information from Ford ties in with the next article I believe may help also. Get help connecting your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with your car stereo . Under the section titled "If you're using Bluetooth" step 6. states:

Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.

Obviously you will want to go through all the steps, but the stereo in your vehicle may need updates to allow it to work with the new iOS version.

Thanks and have a great weekend.
