How to "unlock" sim lock on iphone 5s bought with straight talk.

I bought a straight talk iphone 5s from walmart in December 2016 for my daughter. Since verizon has unlimited plan now, i want to put her phone on my account. but apparently crooked *** straight talk has a sim lock on the phone because i haven't used it on their network for 12 months. Phone has been activated with verizon and has a verizon sim card but it will not let me use it or even access home screen if the verizon sim card is inserted. HOW CAN I UNLOCK THIS PHONE?!!!!!!

iPhone 5s, iOS 10.3.1

Because you bought the iPhone at a highly subsidized price, Straight Talk can keep you locked to their network for 12 months before they will unlock it. I've tried and they will not budge on it. All mobile providers have the same policy but usually they will just let you pay the full price of the phone to unlock it but Straight Talk requires you be on their network for 12 months before unlocking is even an option.
