I had to switch my phone from 7 to 6. I restored from backup and lot of Apps required to download.
Now none of the apps are downloading and the progress circle does not start at all. When I soft reset by holding home+power button upon restart i get error "unable to purchase"
Due to this am not able to download any apps. Please help.
I think it's something with the size of the files downloading or upgrading. Do you have enough space for the apps? Sometimes I've had issues with connecting to appstore (for some reason). Usually helps waiting a while and trying again..
I don't think you need to soft reset unless your phone freezes, did it?
I have enough space like more than 30GB. Am downloading small apps like google, gmail and google maps they may not be more than 100MB infact never had problem downloading them in the past manytimes when i changed phones.
Soft reset is like a magic wand or "restart" of Windows. Do it when you cant get thru a problem and it may solve the problem most of the time.
In my case it did not solve tho :-(
That's really odd.. I've had problems before with downloading from appstore and almost always it helped to connect to a wifi but that may not be the problem in your case.. Thanks for the tip about softreset! 🙂
Since 2013 so realtively new at this.. Still learning haha 🙂 My first was an 4 (bought it used from a friend and got hooked), then 6 (skipped the 5 because...) and now a 7..
What iOS is now installed on your phone?
Woow my first iphone was 4 too.
Just bought 7+ and sat on it ;-) it got a little bent, GPS went haywire and was heating up charging. So got back to 6s thinking will send 7+ for repair.
Have used 5, own MacBook Pro, AppleWatch and iPad Pro with Pencil. ;-)

Try to sign out from your account in appstore, and sign in again..

Are you using the same apple I'd?
Try a reboot press the power button down & the menu button hold both down until you see apple logo Then try update again over your wifi.

have tried reeboot but have to try it on wifi.
Reeboot has not helped.
