I guess I don't know how this all works. I bought extra ICloud storage for Itunes. Why does Itunes say my storage is full?

It is telling you that your iPhone does not have enough storage space to hold everything that you have selected.
Buying more iCloud storage has nothing to do with the storage available on your iPhone. That cannot be increased. You would need to choose less content to sync to your iPhone.

iCloud storage does not increase the storage capacity of your computer or devices. It simply allows you to store more in the cloud.
When I connect my phone to my computer it says "The IPhone can't be synced because there is not enough free storage space to hold all of the items in the ITunes library"
Why does Itunes say it is out of storage when I pay every month for ICloud?
