Transfer moments to camera roll

I am using an iPhone 7+ 128gb running iOS 10.2(14C92).

My issue is whenever I want to send a photo to someone I can't choose it from camera roll, for example, I want to send my friends an old photo. This old photo is not in my camera roll, but it is in my moments. What I have to do is find this old photo, and either duplicate it and then choose it from my camera roll, or simply use the share option which I really do not like. This is because I cannot choose moments in the album chooser, since moments is apparently not an album which I can choose. I have all these photos from my moments because I used to have an iPhone 5s, so my photos app on my mac is full of these photos, and now they're in moments in my iphone 7

So, i'd like to transfer all my photos from moments to my camera roll so i don't have to do this process... Please help! It's really bugging me!

I've tried syncing all of the photos that are on my photos app into my iphone via iTunes, and then duplicating these photos so they appear in my camera roll, then going into my itunes and unsyncing all my photos. The problem with this is that the duplicated photos are not in chronological order. This is pretty ridiculous in my opinion, how was apple not thought of this. Help is greatly appreciated.

Your Camera Roll is showing the photos that are stored locally on your iPhone.

There must be a reason, that you are seeing photos in Moments, that are not in your Camera Roll. Does your iPhone have albums synced from a Mac with iTunes? Or are you usually using iCloud Photo Library and the Optimize iPhone Storage option?

iTunes sync photos need to reduplicated, before you can share or edit them, and iCloud Photo Library photos can only be edited or shared after downloading from iCloud Photo Library.

Yes to transfer my photos from my iPhone 5 to my iPhone 7 I used to the iTunes sync method and checked all my photos option. Lets call these photos iPhone 5 photos. I cannot delete these iPhone 5 photos and these iPhone 5 photos don't appear on my camera roll. What I want is to have these iPhone 5 photos, in my camera roll and in my mac photos app.

My current situation is I have all my iPhone 7 photos on my camera roll and all my iPhone 5 photos on my mac photos app. I cannot put my iPhone 7 photos into my mac because if I do, then it'll sync with iTunes and my whole photos tab will be filled of duplicates starting from the moment I took an iPhone 7 photo, to the very last photo I took.

Please please help!

I'd stop the automatic syncing of photos with iTunes for the time being.

if your iPhone 7 photos are not on your Mac, download them to your Mac Photos Library using USB. Once all your iPhone 5 and iPhone 7 photos are on your Mac, I'd enable iCloud Photo Library. This will upload all photos to iCloud and sync them to your iPhone, while deleting the iTunes synced photos.

You may have to pay for iCloud storage temporarily, if you need more than 5GB.

Will these iCloud synced photos sync into my camera roll?

Yes, if you do not use "Optimize iPhone Storage". If the local storage on your iPhone does not suffice to hold all photos at the full resolution and you need "optimize iPhone Storage, some photos may remain in iCloud only. But licking them to enlarge them will download them from iCloud so you can share them or edit them.
