my iphone 5s says storage is full 16gb yet i only have 1 photo and three apps! i cant even access my whatsapp.

Go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage under STORAGE go to Manage Storage. It will then show the apps that are using your storage listed in order of usage.

Then focus on the apps with the most storage and delete data as appropriate. Large videos and podcasts that take up a lot of storage, can often times be deleted because you can usually download them again if you want view them.

Note: deleted photos are not necessarily deleted from the phone. You may have to go to Photos > Albums > Recently Deleted and delete them from there to truly free up storage.

Need more info. I've deleted my recently deleted photos from my phone, deleted all photos from icloud except for 5 slo mo videos (very small) and my phone still says 8.0 Gb of photos stored. ?? My photos and albums both say no photos or videos. All I have for Apps are fitbit, messenger, my banking app and they're not even updated to newer probably larger sizes. I'm trying to download one more app and apparently I don't have room. Well, with "8.0 GB of photos", I can see that, but I can't see where the pics are to delete any more. I'm not worried about them, as I back up my pictures to my USB drive monthly for a "hard" copy. Help
