Apple charger seems to have short circuited
I would like to ask if any of the other community members have experienced a sudden power supply issue.
So I have an apple charger and it seems there is a sudden short circuit in the main charging unit
Basically, what happened was I was just using my mac and removed my charger. I came back and my machine would not charge. I tried shifting the charging connector a little bit around but it did not work. So I tried to connect the square area
to the "extender wire" of another charger I have from another mac.
It did not work and then when i connected the "extender wire" back to the charger of my other mac, the other charger stopped working as well. So i used the old iphone charger head to connect to my charger of the other mac and it started working. When i used the iphone charger head on the macbook pro charger, that blew as well.
So basically in this "experiment" i blew 2 connector wires.
My question is, can I get some kind of replacement for my charger for free as its quite annoying that my newer macbook pro charger is spoilt - just by itself!
(it is out of warranty)
Also, are there any other people who have experienced something similar?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)
