How do I stop EOS Utility Launcher asking connect a camera?

After upgrading to macOS Sierra I now have an annoying app start up when I turn on my iMac.

The title of the window is EOS Utility Launcher and the contents are "Connect an EOS camera", a diagram showing the connection and two buttons to press "Pairing over WiFi/LAN" & "Close".

This happens each and every time I boot up - its annoying because there is an icon on the top right of the screen for doing this when I want.

Does anyone know how do I get rid of this?User uploaded file

You probably have the EOS utility started in you Login Items (look in System Preferences in the Users & Groups pane and then click on your username and then click on "Login Items" button (I've blacked out my usernames):

You can delete this item entirely by highlighting it and then clicking on the minus sign below.

You can also leave it running and adjust the EOS Utility preferences by clicking on the camera icon (red circle below) in your Menu bar at top of screen, and then make sure there is s checkmark by the "Do not launch EOS Utility automatically when camera is connected" (yellow circle below). This gives you the opportunity of starting it easily if you wish and not starting it if you don't by clicking on the appropriate option (you can only click on one or the other).

Yes - this solved the problem. The EOS application was ticked in the user prefs for myself. The upgrade to Sierra must have reset this without my permission. I usually have a long list of things to reset after upgrades and this one will have to be added to the list. Apple does like to tamper doesn't it!

Thanks for the pointer.
