My iPhone's storage keeps decreasing!

I have an iPhone 5c and for a year now when i try to update the software it says that it can't connect to the main base or something. After that, out of sudden, i start realizing that there is no available storage on my phone! It says that i'm using all of my storage so i deleted everything (apps-photos) and it keeps decreasing!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP!!! I did everything that other people gave as solution, like reset my phone after connecting it to the iTunes on the pc and blah blah...but i still have the same problem!!! What should i do?

Thank you so much for answering! I actually did all of those things. I deleted all of my social media apps but my memory kept decreasing and now I have no space to download them again!!! And I connected my phone to the iTunes program on my laptop, I synchronized it and I got only 102 MB but after a while (after seconds) I had no space on my storage once again. I tried to download the new software but there was a window that kept coming up "you have no space in your storage for receiving it". I'm one step before i go to buy a new phone...not iPhone this time!

Beware that apps such as the so-called Social Media and even mundane ones like Mail cache information for faster response and hence will consume ever increasing amounts of storage space. Check configurations for clearing such cache or delete and reinstall (will erase all associated info).

As for updating I emphatically recommend using the iTunes program on a computer (Mac preferred) to carry it out. Free space requirements on the device will be dramatically decreased, a backup will automatically be done (set it to store locally on the drive, with password, for best results), and the computer will generally have much better downloading and verification capabilities.
