Davinci Resolve Studio & License??

If I purchase Davinci Resolve Studio from the App Store which is version 12.5.5, will I be eligible for any upgrades, such as the current Davinci Resolve Studio 14 ???? Or will I have to re-purchase again through the App Store? Or is purchasing through the App Store similiar to having the Davinci USB Dongle??

Simple updates in the Mac App Store are free. Major upgrades are paid.

Going from 12.5.5 to 14 looks like a major upgrade to me.

I can't answer your USB dongle question.
