Measuring Internet Speed On iPad?

My DSL internet connection is being upgraded soon.

Does anyone know of a way for me to analyze my internet connection like the speed, ping times and the overall quality of it?

I'm aware of speedtest.net, but is there another way I can do a "deeper analysis" to get more information?

Thank you!

Hi. I'm not sure what sort of deeper information you're looking for. Your DSL line is a point-to-point connection to a router in your provider's network. From there on it's just the internet. A speed test (I use SpeedSmart) can check your speeds to a nearby server, which should confirm the speed of your connection. I also have the NetAnalyzer app (not free), which provides the usual internet commands, like tracert, that let you assess your connectivity to other sites. But that has little to do with your specific connection, and much more to do with the global internet.
