Not Receiving SMS Messages from Android

So I have Cricket Wireless on my iPhone 6s Plus and until this past month it worked great. But now I am unable to receive SMS from android devices. The only thing that works is my iMessage. I have tried everything, I even reset my iPhone. I have tried to come into contact with Cricket as well, but they never seem to have anyone available to answer their phones. Is there anything else I could try to fix this issue? Nothing seems to be working.

If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

if the link provided doesn't help, then go to the Cricket store and speak to a technician

I had the same problem when i upgraded to the iPhone 7. My family has Android, I have iPhone. I also normally receive and send SMS from my iPad and MacBook Pro laptop. After my upgrade, i had to make sure that several settings were the same.

On your iPhone:Settings/Messages make sure "Send as SMS" is on. If you want to be able to answer the SMS on your other devises click Text message forwarding, and enable the devises you want. you will be prompted to answer a code sent to that devise.

Go back one screen to message settings. Click send and Receive. put a check next to your phone number and any email addresses where you want to be reached.

Go back one screen to message settings. Go to SMS/MMS. Make sure MMS messaging is enabled

Hope this helps

Don't read that generic response. Make sure MMS is selected first. If so, follow steps below.

Reset your

Network Settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

While there is no harm in doing either of those things, it is not terribly likely they will resolve the problem. Having MMS turned on is not required to send or receive text messages. SMS is a carrier feature. If it doesn't work, most of the time, the problem lies with the carrier, not the iPhone.
