When Apple ID is locked does it ask you for your social security for it To unlock?

Your Social Security number is not related in any way to your Apple ID. Apple has no knowledge of your social security number.

Apple does not request it when setting it up, nor do they require it for anything regarding your account or their services.


If anything or anyone is asking you for your SSN in relation to your Apple ID, then they are very likely trying to scam you.


Do not provide any info to them.


If your Apple ID was locked, Apple personnel will request info related to the Apple ID, such as the security questions you setup, what devices it is signed in on, etc...


Your carrier may request to when setting up service with them, but Apple does not have access to your carriers records.
