Can't locate my Ipod icon on Itunes

Hello

I have tried to connect my ipod to my Itunes using my USB lead but it isn't connecting for some reason. It just keep connecting to my computer and trying to import the photos but I need it to sync to my Itunes?

I don't even have the icon for my ipod on my itunes it's just not detecting it. I've tried doing it via the wifi connection but again it's not searching my computer when I try and find i through the Ipod and through the computer it's not detecting anything in the USB port. Can anyone help please?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that iTunes doesn't recognize your iPod. I could see how this would be concerning, especially since this occurs with USB and Wi-Fi connections. I'm happy to help.

Please follow the steps below:

Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes that works with your computer.

Check that you have the latest software on your Mac or Windows PC.

Make sure that your device is turned on.

If you see a Trust this Computer alert, unlock your device and tap Trust.

Unplug all USB accessories from your computer except for your device. Try each USB port to see if one works. Then try a different Apple USB cable.

Restart your computer and iPhone, iPad, or iPod.

Try connecting your device to another computer. If you have the same issue on another computer, contact Apple Support.

If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

If the issue persists, follow the remaining steps in the link above.
