I have the same problem, I have tried all the troubleshooting steps, took it to a genius at Apple store where they did a diagnosis and could not find a problem. I have had iPhones for many years now and the customer service at retail store seems to be going downhill. There diagnosis identified that I have 72 dropped calls and all this started after I switched from iPhone 6s to iPhone 7, so they are blaming the wireless service provider for the poor connection which I have been using without any problem for the last 10 years.
Now rather than trying to fix the issue on my first visit, they have told me to replace the SIM to a new SIM, if that doesn't work than I have to reset to factory setting and setup the phone as a new phone and don't restore from back up.
And after doing all this if my phone still have a problem than they will replace the screen while the phone is still under AppleCare.
I have replaced the SIM, and the problem is still which is very frustrating and now i have to reset the phone as a new phone. So the onus is on me to fix the problem rather than apple taking responsibility. I doubt if reseting will change anything but will keep the forum updated.
