I have a padlock on my MacBook Air when I try to stream to Apple TV 4, but not my Apple TV 3. Where do I enter passcode?

I can stream from the Air by way of using the Computer App on Apple TV 4 without a problem, but if I try to send media TO the ATV4, I have a padlock and it says error (-15001). Where to enter passcode? I am logged in to iTunes on both and have done all software updates.

MacBook Air, macOS Sierra (10.12.4)

Hi. Apple TV 4 with tvOS requires a one-time passcode to authenticate each new connection. If you're using Apple AirPlay, you should receive a prompt to enter the on-screen passcode. If you're using a 3rd-party app, like Beamer, it needs to be updated to suppprt the new protocol.
