Trackpad works, keyboard not working
Hello,
I have a 2015 13" Macbook Pro, the specs are as follows (not sure how helpful they will be):
i5 2.9 ghz (I believe it's an i5 5xxxu, not entirely sure... can't seem to find the precise unit)
8 GB ddr3 RAM @ 1867 MHz
500 GB SSD (not sure on unit, standard macbook drive)
Iris 6100 integrated graphics
The problem:
A few weeks ago my keyboard started randomly going out... keys would be delayed, or not work at all. It would work, and then run into issues intermittently. Eventually it got to a point where my macbook's keyboard would not work at all unless I force shutdown the computer and turned it back on. And now I am at a point where the keyboard does not work at all...
What I've tried:
Clearing the PRAM
Clearing the NVRAM
Lightly tapping the computer in case something has been jostled out of place...
And of course, the general turning it off and on and reloading the OS...
Future steps:
Throw the computer out of a 5 story building unless something can be done to fix it. Getting really irritated at this point, I thought macbooks were the epitome of build quality... 2 years is a decent amount of time, but not the point at which a keyboard should fail...
I really need to get this up in running, I have a final exam coming up that requires the use of a computer (my macbook).
