ios 10.3.1 wifi & gps problems

After I did 10.3.1 update my iphone 6 has problems with the wifi and the gps signal. my wifi signal is very weak, imagine that in my house if I am 10 meters away from the router I lost the signal! when I use googsle maps or maps the apps can't find the exact location so as a result I cannot get the correct instructions! I restored my iphone several times from itunes directly, as a new phone, zero result, same problem. I also tries to reset network settings, zero result! Is this ios 10.3.1 bug?? anyone can help me?

Hello, I have the same issue in my Iphone 6... after upgraded to 10.3.1 my GPS is never accurate (GPS is never found when using waze) and my Wi-Fi connection is terrible (just works when I am in the same room in front of the router.

Kind of frustrating that there isn't any fix or workaround.....

There are hundreds of people that are having this issue according to the thread comments and the 408+ people that clicked "me too." There are dozens of other threads on the internet regarding folks having this issue. We are being squashed one at a time by Apple but could maybe do some good as a collective. I've thought about starting a Facebook page that can easily be found by everyone like us having the issue. Bringing it to a public venue could give us a better idea of just how many are having this issue and bringing light to the issues on social media may warrant action in the form of real solutions from Apple in the form of a bug fix or repair/replace effort from them to make things right. Even worst case scenario, it would still do some good to make folks think twice before purchasing an apple product, knowing that after just one year, when the warranty runs out, your 600-800 dollar phone will be junk and Apple wont do anything about it even though their updates cause the problems. The page will only work if those affected by the wifi/GPS bug are involved so before creating a page on Facebook, I want to know how everyone on this thread feels about the idea. If anyone with better experience with community pages than I wants to run with it, I'll happily join the group. Just reply to this yes (in support of) or ignore/no (against the idea or see no value).

I was waiting a lot for a fix, from apple; but nothing happened. So, i bought an wifi antenna and a gps antenna, from Ebay ( less than 7$/6€ shipment included) and, following step by step Ifixit's guide, I repair my iPhone 6.

Now all is fixed, all works as before; I'm very happy.

For a good work, I used a paper guide for the screws.

As far as Iphone 6/s gps location problems are concerned, I think this is resolved in threa Re: iPhone6 GPS stopped functioning.

In my opinion this is generally a hardware issue. I've tried everything mentioned to no avail. Restored wifes mal functioning iphone 6 ios 10.3.2 to iphone 7 ios 10.3.2 and works fine. Restored my Iphone se 10.3.2 to her 6 and

what works on the se doesn't on the 6. Reading other thread, it seems to me that an antenna hardware fix is the way to go or vote with you pocket and leave apple. I think that apple are aware of the issue but wont admit to it, for obvious reasons. Having read hundreds of comments i've come to the conclusion that the only way forward for me is a hardware upgrade or a new phone as i dont have a decent car sat nav. Good luck to those persevering with ios updates, restores etc... Wifi issues may also be related to this fix but wont know till hardware update. If anyone still has their iphone under warranty, perhaps you could get apple to change it.good luck with that

Mine is doing the exact same thing. My GPS is screwed up and my wifi doesn't work unless I'm literally right by the router. Tried all of the suggested tips and tricks numerous times to no avail. Hopefully the next iOS update will correct this issue, seems to be pretty common and is extremely annoying.

The way I got my wifi to work in my house was by purchasing a wifi extender on amazon and setting that up. Wifi signal is at full strength now with the extender.

Could carrier network be a factor since it's a GPS issue? I'm on AT&T and curious to know what others with this problem use. My wife's iPhone 6 (also AT&T) has had the same problem for the same amount of time.

Also it seems really odd that outside this thread, and a few other places, this pretty major bug is largely undocumented and has not addressed by Apple.

My wife and I are on Verizon. She doesn't have any issues with her phone. My last phone started having issues right after the iOS 10.3.1 update. I happened to break my phone, got a new one, and the new one has the same issues. I've recovered my phone from iCloud backup twice, from iTunes once, tried it without doing a backup-just starting from scratch, reset the network settings numerous times.

This started after the 10.3.1 update (iPhone 6). Just updated to 10.3.2...I have had this problem with GPS and my Beats Bluetooth connectivity. I noticed on a run using my Fitbit...I assumed it was due to a conflict with my Wireless Beats and Fitbit, but then when I tried to contact an Uber the location for pickup was way off in a city I wasn't familiar with. I reset all my WiFi and Location Services connections and I will post back with results:

Still not sure if this has helped, but I worry that an iCloud restore just restores those connections. IDK, this is a real problem and worst it appears to happen regularly based on historic posts. This is a radio connectivity issue (all radios: Bluetooth, GPS, etc.). Very frustrated and all other posts with remedies are not helpful, this may fall into that category:(

My wife's iphone 6 is having the same issues as others, poor wifi signal and intermittent to no gps signal. Seems to have started since the 10.3.1 update. Just updated to 10.3.2 and still same issues. My iphone 6 plus on same software works fine. Has anyone tried the 10.3.3 beta to see if that has a fix? I saw on another thread someone said they replaced the gps antenna and that resolved it. It seems to be that this latest software is having communication problems with certain brands or batches of the iphone 6 gps antennas. We have a warranty on the phone but its not going to help if the replacement iphone 6 has the same issue due to software. Very frustrated customer!
