How do I delete songs from my iPhone, but not iTunes on my PC? I sync from my PC, not iCloud.

It won't? How can I be sure Demo?

I Have done this myself and I can tell you that it will not affect the iTunes library on the PC as long as the songs were synced from iTunes on the PC. Your music library is stored in iTunes and when you sync the songs over to your phone, you are copying the songs over. Deleting them on the phone will not remove them from the iTunes library on your PC.

If you want to test this, delete a song that you purchased from Apple/iTunes. Then launch iTunes on your PC and look for the song. It will still be there. Sync your phone and the song will sync back to the phone as long as the album or playlist is still selected to sync. If you manage music manually, drag the song back to the phone.

If it is a song that was purchased from Apple/iTunes, it can always be downloaded again for free as long as the song is still in iTunes and as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought the song with.

Where did the songs originate? Acquired them on the PC then sync'ed them on the phone or the other way around? Is it from the iTunes store or from some other source?

iTunes tunes "belong" to the AppleID used to sign in forever and can be downloaded to a limited number of different devices also associated to that AppleID and can be redownloaded to these if needed (don't remember if there's a limit to how many times you can redownload to the same device). All this is governed by the DRM rules of the Store.

Jingles loaded from sources like a CD rip are usually not limited in this fashion.
