So, I am planning on purchasing an I-Pad Pro. So I was wondering if the Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc are already installed in your device or will I have to buy them and pay more later on? Thanks.

No. Apple supplies its own productivity suite called iWork (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation). if you want Office you need to obtain it from the App Store.
Actually, you only need a paid Office 365 subscription if using Word, Excel, PowerPoint or OneNote on an iPad Pro. For any other iOS device, you can create a free account or use them without 365 at all. MS changed those rules a year or so ago (the app description in the App Store explains that). The apps themselves are free for anyone.
