Red end call button not displaying

50% of the time when I ask Siri to call someone, the call goes through and when the call is finished and I lower the phone from my ear the red end call button does not display. To end the call necessitates logging on to the phone, pushing the green bar at the top of the screen, then the call can be stopped. Pushing the side button (iPhone 6S, newest IOS) does not work either.

Hello evanfromflagstaff,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities about the end call button not displaying on your iPhone some of the time. Here is what I recommend:

First, try restarting the iPhone. Sometimes, that is all that is necessary to get everything working properly again. This help article will assist you to do that: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch .

If the issue continues, try reinstalling the iOS as described in this help article: If you can‘t update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch . This step will not erase your data. Please pay close attention when you reach step 4 which says:

When you see the option to Restore or Update, choose Update. iTunes will try to reinstall iOS without erasing your data. Wait while iTunes downloads the software for your device. If the download takes more than 15 minutes and your device exits recovery mode, let the download finish, then repeat these steps.

Once your iOS is reinstalled, test if the issue with the call button not showing up half of the time is still occurring. Thanks again and have a great rest of your day.
