I played Clash Royael for a while on my iPhone without being logged in to Game Center. I now want to play on my iPad, and I open the app and realize that I was signed on to Game Center there and played for 5min a long time ago. Now it won't let me take the progress from my iPhone and sync with my iPad....
i have the exact same issue on my sons account. crash royale keeps trying to push a saved game that is not wanted for the exact same issue christov44 describes. I need to replace this with the saved game he wants to keep so that he can then sync that game to another device.
Try this approach:
- Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage (under Storage) > Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes > [Delete app]
- App Store > Updates > Purchased > Not on this iPhone > Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes > [Download app]
Now you have a fresh copy of the app without history.
AFAIK, game data is stored in the game (or centrally on the game server), not in Game Center.
You can delete app data, or the app, via: Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Storage > game name. If there is no separate option for just data, deleting and reinstalling the app will reset everything.
However, game state should sync across your different devices as long as you use the same log in, so I'm not sure why you would need to force this via a manual work-around. There's something more to this, so think, check and/or explain further before trying my suggestion.
I do not wish to delete the game as i will lose all current data, my old game is linked to the game center that is the one i wish to delete, if i delete the game i will lose all current data, I simply want to replace the old game save with the new one so that it is backed up via the game center and yes it is backed up by doing so as my old game save is linked with my game center
did you ever get an answer to this? i have the same issue. Idiotic design by apply engineers.
I think i will just back up via icloud and hope for the best
For now I just had to sign out of game center on the account that I want to keep
did you get any answer to your problem?
Hey Aden-12, did this help you at all? Were you able to save your new, more advanced and current, data over your old one? I am having the same issue, but for a different game right now.
