It means you received a call from that number, or if you have multiple numbers associated with that contact, that number was the most recent one used in attempting to call you.

Blocking a number just means that you're not being notified of calls from that number. Not that that number can't try and call you.

The Recent flag stays on whatever was the last method that contact used to call you. If that person keeps calling, it's always a "fresh" Recent.

You can also log into your phone service provider's web account and block the number(s) there. When blocked at the provider end, the calls won't even be directed to your phone.

"Stalking" is not legal. Report him to authorities. You should not need to deal with this.

AFAIK, wheather the number is Home, Work, or Cell depends entirely on how its noted in Contacts. It's really of no consequence, anyway.

Genius, or not, unless he had physical access to your phone and new its passcode, there's nothing he could have done to it. iOS is very secure. If it will make you feel more secure, change your iPhone passcode and Apple ID password.

Stalking is not anything that Apple can help with. Yes, report him to Police.

In the meantime, try to just ignore his contact attempts.

Thank you very much for making me feel more at ease. I did what you suggested & changed my passcode & password. Hopefully this will stop him. It just creeps me out when he shows up at random places that I just happen to be at, be it the dog park, restaurant, grocery store etc. etc. etc. he is always lurking in the shadows. He never approaches me, he just watches from a distance.

sorry, I have another question. when I first blocked caked his number it said that I was blocking his mobile phone (which was correct) now it has changed to saying it is his home phone (which it isn't) & it doesn't give the option to change it to say mobile. Not that that really matters but I find it very odd. He is a computer Genius so there is no telling what he has done. I called apple support & went to the Apple Store. They gave me a case number & told me to contact the police
