Macbook Air charger light fading out, says it's charging but doesn't charge
I'm sorry I can't access the specific information on my Macbook Air. It won't turn on so it's sort of locked off to me.
My Macbook died while it was at full charge. It was plugged in at the time, and I noticed the charger's green light had gone out. I tried plugging the charger into other sockets in the room, and it still didn't light up. However, when I tried to turn the Macbook back on, it said it was charging. Didn't seem to get any less dead.
I tried charging it using someone else's cord, and the green light came on again, but faded out completely over the course of about the minute. The computer was "dead but charging" no matter where the light was. I have tried numerous completely different chargers and they all yield the exact same effects. The only difference between any of them is that mine doesn't ever light up green.
The Macbook is about a year and a half old and has had no other problems. There's nothing I can think of that could've damaged the charging port, like a spill or the computer being dropped/falling. It was working perfectly fine until it wasn't.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Or a possible fix? I'd hate to get a new computer so soon- I'm not exactly made of money.
