what is the average time to charge iphone 7plus fully?

That's about right. It will take about 30 minutes less if you use an iPad charger. But if you follow best practices, and charge it overnight, every night, it wouldn't matter how long it took to charge. And it would have the added benefit of automatically backing up over WiFi to iCloud (or iTunes) every night, so the most data you could lose if it broke, was lost, stolen, or crashed, is one day.

That sounds about right. Why do you think it's too long? Is it just that you wish it were shorter?

If that's the most important feature for your, you will need to buy a different phone. Or, you could just charge it overnight. You won't know that it takes longer than you've decided it should because you'll be asleep the whole time.

What problem? It's a fact that an iPhone 7 Plus will take about 3 hours to charge. More if you are using it while it is being charged. The battery capacity is 2900 MaH. The Apple cube provides 1 amp (1,000 Ma). So the theoretical best it could do is 2,900 MaH/1,000 Ma or 2.9 hours. That's physics; not just a good idea, it's the law. It will take a bit longer than 2.9 hours, however, because the phone reduces the charging rate to avoid the risk of overcharging once the state of charge reaches 80%.

You CAN charge it a bit faster if you get a 12 W USB power source such as an iPad adapter. The phone can't use the full 2,200 amps that a 12W adapter provides, but it can use 1,500 Ma. So with an iPad adapter the theoretical charging time is 2,900/1,500 or 1.9 hours. Again adjusting for the slower charging rate above 100%, this should bring the time for full charge to about 2 1/2 hours.

All of this is irrelevant, however, if you charge it overnight. You won't know that it takes longer than you've decided it should because you'll be asleep the whole time.
