Stolen iPad recovered, but stuck on "Lost Mode".

My mom's iPad was stolen several days ago, and recently recovered. While it was missing, I put it on "Lost Mode", but now the iPad is offline, so I am unable to take it off "Lost Mode". The iPad says to connect to iTunes, but iTunes says to enter the passcode on the iPad, which is impossible, because the iPad is locked. Is there any way to recover her Photos and other info? If not, is it possible to restore the iPad?

Problem solved! Thanks Apple support! Very helpful and nice. Which was good because I was working with two old, slow PCs and an old, slow iPad 3 (one of the PCs' mouse broke while I was trying to use it and it took me about ten minutes to fix the problem...).

Just connect to iTunes, press and hold the power and home buttons until a "iTunes" screen comes up that shows the iPad is connected. From there you can reset it, and recover from a backup (this iPad hadn't been backed up in two years, though, so that didn't help me much).

Anyway, thanks Apple!
