I bought the new MacBook Air about a year ago and lately I've noticed it gets really hot whenever I use it. The space above the keyboard and the upar keys, especially towards the left side and a little of the back of the macbook gets hot, to the point where it burns my fingers when I touch it.
I haven't dropped it or spilled anything on it.
Is this normal, should I contact support?

the device needs to expel heat from the logic board and some of that may be coming through the keyboard, while this is normal burning your fingers should not be the by product. Is it just hot or are you being injured?

Before making the trip to an Apple Store, try resetting the SMC: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295.
Install a temperature/fan speed application.
Open Activity Monitor to ALL PROCESSES and set CPU to display values from high to low.
When the MBA gets hot, post images of both for review.

Thank you! I may have exageraste a little bit. I'm not getting injured, but it gets hot enough for it to be uncomfortable and it gets hot really quickly.
