Bootcamp: windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive

Hi guys,

I have issue, when try to install Windows 10 with Boot camp have error message: windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive

Use FAT32 USB drive with 64GB, when use other with 16Gb, used other Windows ISO files, not helps. Use newest Macbook Pro with newest OSX, everything updated.

Try to install manually:

1. Created FAT32 disk in Disk Utility

2. Flash drive with 64GB FAT32 format

3. Put windows support folder from Boot camp -> Download windows support files

But then install Windows by hands with Windows support files can't change Disk drive (don't know why windows install skip disk choose window) and on install window drop error can't find partition where to install windows.

Any ideas how to fix this problem? Thanks for any help!

Thanks for help, but I still have few questions:

But why BCA show error "windows support software could not be saved to the selected drive"? He can't save information in OSXRESERVED partition? Why? Month ago works fine and now have this issue, model: MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2016) so should use internal drive.
How can I manually install Windows 10 on my macbook? I try this one, but have issue with disk choose in windows install window (windows setup skip disk choose window): Build your own Windows 10 Bootcamp USB Installer

1. Run Disk Utility First Aid and same problem, here is full video how looks like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbzl5KVRz4Y

Then shows error message BCA start rollback process and delete all partitions with files.

2. I create BOOTCAMP FAT32 partition and try install Windows from USB flash drive with Windows Support pack, but have this issue:

Partition exist:

Month ago works fine BCA, now problem after problem.. Any other idea?

I download this version with BCA -> Download windows support.

P.S. Strange that Apple made so a lot mistakes with BCA software. It first time in ~5 years when I stuck on Apple software..

2015 and later Macs do not use a USB Installer. Download Windows Support software is an independent activity.

For such Macs, the W10 ISO is on your internal disk, and BCA will create a small 8GB partition called OSXRESERVED and create an installer in this partition

You do not want to use the W8 drivers. What is the current version of Broadcom drivers on your Mac?

Please also see Wifi keeps dropping in Windows 10 (BootCamp) on new tbMBP 15" . Run the Apple Software Update and check which driver version you get. It should end in .68.

Please see Bootcamp install windows to black screen as a reference on how to correct AutoUnattend.xml on the USB. This is needed because the manual process does not update the file.

1. Run Disk Utility First Aid and then retry the installation.

2. The referenced document allows the creation of the USB Installer, but you will still need to use Disk Utility to create a Bootcamp partition.

If you run Apple Software Update, you should get the .68 version. It may help with 802.11n 5Ghz, but may cause issues with 802.11ac 5G. I ran into the 802.11ac issues in my home network with .68 driver.

No. Now have issue with WIFI:

Try reinstall WIFI drivers but still show error "Unable to connect to this network". Any idea how fix it? Use 2016 Nov 24 drivers "BroadcomWirelessWin8x64.exe"

Also try uninstall drivers, reinstall again, not helps. Also removed all other drivers and leave only this one - not helps. Don't have any idea how move forward..
