I have 3 devices all ringing at the same time. I unlock device and there is nothing open that shows an icon to answer. Devices: iPhone 6sPlus, iPod 3rd gen, and an android tablet. There has to be an easier way, especially in the middle of sleeping and rec'g calls from overseas.

If you are hearing something on all three of those devices, it isn't a phone call, since you would not be able to receive a phone call on the Android tablet that you could receive on the iPhone. While it may be a Skype call or something else, but not a regular phone call. This becomes more apparent when you describe there is nothing that allows you to answer the call, and you are asking about the Messages app. There is no call to receive in the Messages app, it cannot handle phone calls.
Thank you. You sure cleared that up for me. It must be a Skype call. Do I have to open the app somehow, half asleep, to answer emergency calls? Why doesn't it just auto open like a phone call so I can press green or red or similar? Is this a question for a Skype community? Many thanks.
It seems that at one time you opened Skype and when you closed it, you have the ability to leave it running in the background. I know that much, but I'm not a regular user of Skype of the phone. As far as how it works to answer, it would depend on the settings for the app. You may get quicker responses if you head over to a Skype forum, but someone else here may be a regular user and have more information. It does not react the same as a regular phone call, but then, I would imagine that if someone needs to contact you in an emergency, they would use your regular phone number, which is much easier to answer. You might also wish to experiment with Skype during the day to see how it appears on the lock screen, and check the app settings in Settings>Notifications to see how it is setup to appear.
Thank you very much for your response. I opened up the history of phone calls and beside the number & time was "Messenger call." Very strange. It wasn't Skype after all. I think he used FaceBook Messenger and clicked on the phone icon next to my name. I've seen that option there. I guess that wasn't it after all and I'll have to keep trying to problem solve how to answer the phone quickly if it happens again. Thank you!
I cannot respond regarding Facebook Messenger, as I do not use it. I very rarely log into Facebook on my iPhone, and only with Safari. I've never downloaded and/or used the Facebook Messenger app. It may be something that you need to research with Facebook support. Good luck.
