Macbook Webcam Face-Follow?

I was using my webcam for the first time, but I noticed that if I move to the side, the built in webcam camera also moves/shifts to where I am? It follows the movement of my face, and I don't think my previous Macbook did this. Is it normal for the built in webcam to follow my face? I couldn't find anything about it on the features, so was wondering the built in webcam normally has face-follow features? Also, is there a way I can turn off the face-follow thing? I have a macbook pro 2015, el capitan.
