It's hard to see from pictures, looking at the battery sign may help? or the two white lines at the top of the screen (above the calendar and photos icons). Also, restarting had no effect, will try resetting next.

shut down and restart
if that doesn't appear to do it you can reset your device to factory
try that because the screen shots look fine.
I believe the text on the top as the icons have shrunk for some reason, resulting in a very glitchy looking screen. This happened randomly whilst I was using the phone ?
