ActiveX for Excel on Mac

I have an Excel document sent to me by a government agency (I cannot get the document reformatted to be cross-platform performing) that needs ActiveX in order to access some of the functions on the worksheet.

Is there anyway to get this function for Excel on Mac?

Last forum post I saw was back in 2014, so I'm hoping for an update on this information since then.

Thanks!

It doesn't appears to be possible. For 2016 update, read I need to run activex to login to a server

If you must use that site, it appears your only alternative would be load Windows on your Mac with Boot Camp.

Personally, I would not see any document from a government agency to be valuable enough to force me to do that. I would use snail mail first or ignore it if that is not possible.
