Can I upgrade the RAM on my MacBook Pro?

I have a mid 2015 with 2.2GHz with 16gb and I need MORE. Most of storage is filled with system, then with applications. My computer's not even a year old.

MacBook Pro, Version 10.12.4

16GB is the maximum amount of RAM soldered to the CPU, nothing you can do there on the MBP.

Mac Pro can hold more RAM:

If you are seeing beachballing (SBBOD) and system lagging there could be other issues going on besides blaming RAM.

The MBP is very efficient at handling RAM since Mavericks. It will use most all RAM , don't be fooled by Activity Monitor.

Look for Swap or compressed memory running in the red.

I typically have at least 20 apps open at all times, and 16GB of RAM manages this very well on a 2012 MBP
