Im asking because i recently bought an iPhone 6s and noticed that when i press the apple logo on the back of the iPhone the phone shows up home screen. I wanted to know whether it is a manufacturing defect or some feature.

are you moving the phone? do you have rise to wake enabled?
It serves no purpose other than branding...

When i just keep my finger over apple branding somehow the unlock screen shows up.

Solved my problem.
I just had the rise to wake enabled, I disabled it now and it works just fine.
