Issue with Bluetooth Audio and Handsfree using iPhone in Acura

Has anyone had issues with '16 or '17 Acura RDX (or ILX since they use same tech) using handsfree and Bluetooth audio? If so, any solutions? Ever notice when using bluetooth audio and you receive a call via handsfree it goes to private mode? More times than not the whole interface (touch and non touch) glitches out (I have video) and you have to turn off/on Bluetooth on iPhone too. Defeats the purpose of handsfree. Confirmed issue using iPhone 6 and 6s. I've exhausted all I can do on Acura service end. Messing with iPhone settings (even that accessibility hidden one). Replacing parts. No luck. Acura dealer confirmed the issue in '17 RDX too. Sad. They're blaming Apple due to constant iOS updates. Extremely frustrating and not safe!!! Help is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems you are having issues with your car stereo and your iPhone. To help resolve this issue, please follow each of these steps, except contacting your Acura dealer since you have done that already, and then contact Apple if you're still having this issue.

Check your car stereo's user manual for how to pair with a Bluetooth device.

On your iOS device, swipe up to open Control Center, then taptwice to turn Bluetooth off and back on.

Restart your iOS device.

On your iOS device, unpair your car stereo. On your car's display, unpair your iOS device and any other devices. Restart your car and your iOS device, then pair and connect again.

Update your iOS device.

Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.

If you still can't connect, contact Apple Support.
