Hi I have an ipad 2.
I want to film a presentation and edit it using iMovie.
Can anyone advise the best external microphone I should get as I am filming in a large room and the person I am filming doesn't speak too loud voice projection can sometimes be a bit quiet.

There is no "best mic" only the "best mic for this particular situation"
If you are recording a single person you may want to Mic them directly and if necessary make post production edits in recording software to rectify any issues. If you are recording a group and individual mics would not be feasible you may need an entirely different solution where a directional mic records the room.

I am filming a single person so putting a mic on them could be a great option. Is there any wireless mics that link to an ipad you would recommend? (apologies if the link you sent me shares this, i'm just about to have a read now).

My recording experience is with bands and even then it's limited to me being mic'ed and asking questions to the engineer. CSound is another volunteer here who has some knowledge on recording that appears to have a few years of on the job training which might be better informing.
