Sound crackling on macOS Sierra 10.12.5

In times of events like closing youtube tab on browser, or closing some other program, one loud crackle sound is produced. It's nothing major, but it is annoying. I would not say problem is in speakers, but in software where sound is not filtered enough in the times of such events.

I started noticing this with 10.12.4., and the problem persisted (or get worse because crackling is a bit louder) after recent update.

I would appreciate any help or fix around this.

System info:

MacBook Pro 13'' 2016, without touchbar

2 GHz Intel Core i5

8 GB RAM

MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12.5)

The sound managment under macOs Sierra seems a little bit buggy.

First you can try to reset the smc

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac - Apple Support

After that do a BugReport. Apple checks these most in a few days.

Put a System Report to the bug report.

1. Select 'About This Mac' from the Apple Menu

2. Click the “System Report” button on the About This Mac window

3. Select 'Save…' from the File menu (cmd-s)

4. Change the file name and save location as needed

5. Click the 'Save' button
